Together, We Serve.
The Tri Dams Lions Club is driven by a single goal: to make our local community a better place for all of our residents. Every journey begins with a single step. One act of service, one encouraging word, one gift of generosity is often all it takes to get good things started.

WAYS WE SERVE
We use a hands-on, grassroots approach to address community needs. This includes our work on the local community center, scholarship and student speaker programs, and our membership support for charitable programs serving those in need.
YOU CAN RENT THE BURSON COMMUNITY CENTER FOR YOUR EVENT.
THE BURSON COMMUNITY CENTER
Our Club's primary service effort is to manage the Burson Community Center (aka the Old Volunteer Firehouse). The hall has been rented for many a family gathering, meetings and celebrations over the years. Projects are currently underway to maintain the facility, along with fundraising to enable these efforts. We are very grateful for the generosity of our local businesses and support of our neighbors!
Email TDLC@email.com, call (209) 442-8576 or Contact Us via this page for rental info.
LIONS SCHOLARSHIPS
Tri Dams Lions awards annual Service Scholarships to graduating Calaveras High School Seniors to help our local service-minded young people reach their full potential. Your donation to the Tri Dams Lions Scholarship Fund will make a meaningful difference in the lives of deserving students.
SUPPORT FOR CANINE COMPANIONS
A portion of every annual Membership in the Tri-Dam Lions supports the Lions Project for Canine Companions, which creates awareness and provides support for Canine Companions®. Canine Companions® is a national organization that provides expertly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to people with disabilities, free of charge. Because HELP is a four-legged word.
HELP FOR THE HEARING-IMPAIRED
The Tri-Dam Lions supports the Ear of the Lion Foundation, so patients in need of hearing aids can access care. Our Club has sponsored local patients to enable them to hear and communicate better. We also collect used hearing aids, which are sent to a lab to be re-shelled and re-circuited. Contact us to learn more or to donate used devices.
EYE HEALTH SUPPORT
We accept used prescription glasses for refurbishing. Every Tri-Dam Lions Membership supports the Lions Eye Foundation of California and Nevada, whose mission is to preserve and restore the gift of sight by providing free ophthalmic examinations, operations, and medication to the less fortunate members of our community. Please contact us to learn more and lend your support.
ABOUT THE TRI-DAMS LIONS CLUB
We are driven by a strong sense of community pride and an abundance of love for our community and its members. Chartered by Lions Clubs International on February 6th, 1965, the Tri-Dams Lions Club was formed to inspire and support the local community, with a sincere desire for actions to speak louder than words.
The Tri-Dams Lions Club serves the Burson, Valley Springs and Wallace areas of California (near the three reservoir dams of Camanche, Pardee and New Hogan).
LIONS CLUB HISTORY
In 1917, Melvin Jones founded the Association of Lions Clubs. For over 100 years, we’ve served with kindness, putting the needs of our neighbors, our communities and our world first. We look back at our storied past with pride, but we know it’s only the beginning. Every day, we’re building on our legacy with the goal of making an even greater impact in the future.
