WE ARE SERVING A WORLD IN NEED
ONE ACT OF KINDNESS AT A TIME
We use a hands-on, grassroots approach to address community needs. This includes our regular work on the Burson Community Center, donating scholarships, and sponsoring student speaker programs. We are also collecting used eyeglasses for recycling, and we actively assist and support local charitable programs serving those in need.
Our Club's primary effort to serve our community is to manage the Burson Community Center (aka THE OLD VOLUNTEER FIREHOUSE) for the community to attend and enjoy events, and for individuals and groups to rent and use for their own events!

Tri Dams Lions awards annual Service Scholarships to graduating Calaveras High School Seniors to help our local service-minded young people reach their full potential. Your donation to the Tri Dams Lions Scholarship Fund will make a meaningful difference in the lives of deserving students.

Start the year on an uplifting note! Come learn how some special pups are changing lives.
Canine Companions provides service dogs to those in need free of charge, but there are never enough dogs to fulfill the need. The pup training/preparation is not trivial. Lions hopes to increase the number of volunteer puppy raisers to address this bottleneck and increase the number dogs available. Because HELP is a four-legged word!
SUPPORT FOR CANINE COMPANIONS
A portion of every annual Membership in the Tri-Dam Lions supports the Lions Project for Canine Companions, which creates awareness and provides support for Canine Companions®. Canine Companions® is a national organization that provides expertly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to people with disabilities, free of charge. Because HELP is a four-legged word.

VISION BENEFITS PROGRAM
We accept used prescription glasses for refurbishing. Every Tri-Dam Lions Membership supports the Lions Eye Foundation of California and Nevada, whose mission is to preserve and restore the gift of sight by providing free ophthalmic examinations, operations, and medication to the less fortunate members of our community.
